My Team Isn't Becoming Familiar With My Formation At All

I currently have 3 tactics set. They all use 4-1-2-1-2, and the only difference between them is that one is set to Standard, the other is set to Attacking and the other is set to Defending.

They have all learnt the Standard formation perfectly, although as you can see from the screenshot below, I've left it for quite a long time now and they don't seem to be getting familiar with the Attacking & Defending formations.

It's strange because I previously had the same 3 formations, although instead of making them Standard/Attack/Defence based I had one of them as Standard, the other as Direct Passing & the other as Short passing. They learnt them absolutely fine and became 100% familiar with them, but for some reason they won't with my new formations I've set.

Why is this, am I doing something wrong perhaps?

Have you changed them recently ? Sometimes if you change a little so decreases familiarity. How high is your match prep ?

I'm currently mid season so my match prep is on average. Could that be the reason? I didn't want to put them on high just incase it tired them out.

It won't tire them out, it will just reduce individual training regimes.

I always have mine on Very High until they learn the formation, then I put it on average or high.
