Today, Wigan Athletic confirmed the appointment of Latics legend Jamie Adams. The former Latics player, who was a fan favourite throughout the 80's and 90's, said "I'm thrilled to have become the manager of my beloved club. I was born and bred here so I am on par with our working-class locals. Hopefully they will see that." Adams, who ended his job as a PE teacher, also revealed that he was definitely not in it for the money. Chairman, Dave Whelan, claimed "I and the rest of the board believe that it is important that we have someone who the fans know and can interact with."
