Hi there guys.

I just started playing FM 2012 and I've come across a few problems. The main one I would say are my defenders. What I'm saying is that my defenders become absolutely dumb when trying to pick a pass to start an attacking movement, they'll just exchange passes between themselves and the goalkeeper before one of them eventually kicks the ball upfield (and in most cases opposition will gain possession from that). There's a freeman in midfield almost everytime but they just won't make the pass to him (and one of my midfielders is actually the playmaker).

I'm playing a 4-3-3 like in Koflok's Goal galore tactic and have my team's passing set to short. Also, the defensive line's creativity is set to default.

Anyone knows any super awesome tips? Cheers

Increase the defenders passing from short to mixed and maybe up their creativity a little. Also, having your CMs drop deep it'll close the gap a bit and the pass becomes shorter and easier.
