Nation Population

So essentially I have totally changed Gibraltar as a nation new name, economic power etc. However, it seems impossible to edit the population of the country which is a problem as it will hinder the production if regens as it is just 30k.

Is it possible to change the population if so how is it done?

I dont think it possible.
Ive changed the nationality of everything from cities to local regions and nothing affects the population.

Its a bummer but I dont think it directly has an influence over the game.
