[Need Help] Squad response toward selling player

Okay, I am playing with Liverpool. As you may know, Matip signed a pre-contract for the team. But in my save, he didnt play well, making so many mistakes and have an average rating of 6.54. I warned him once and didnt improve, therefore I told him that I was going to sell him.
And my key players like Coutinho and Henderson was unhappy with the treatment towards Matip, while my others CBs were happy with it. Now I dont know whether I should sell him or now in the coming transfer window.
Someone please help. =[
