Need help winning matches

I am Lyon, no signing, playing 442 (But wingers instead of wide midfielder)

I can't find a consistent formula because I don't know what i am doing right or wrong.


I use the scout report on the opposition team and I think that what helps me win matches so id like to know what you guys look for on the team comparison ?

Play down flanks. Use two BWM in the centre.
Play a poacher and limit his run from deep and with ball. Set his creative freedom to little.
Set all
Players closing down to one past own half to whole pitch.
Zonal marking also

Make sure to do set pieces and throw in set up, make sure your corners are how you want them, my tip is for corners is have them outswinging, get a good corner taker on each side, and have a good headerer near post, scores me a few goals from corners, thats my advice
