Need help with Man United

So, I started a save with Manchester United and I bought the following players:

-Hummels
-Javi Martínez
-Mbaye Niang
-Lamela
-Van der Vaart
-Banega
-Rodrigo (Benfica)
Vrsaljko

And i play like this:

Rooney
Rodrigo VDV Young

Martinez Banega

Evra Hummels Vidic Vrsaljko
De Gea

The problem is that in the supercup, I lost 4-1 to Manchester City with poor statistics. :S I feel like all the money i have spend was in vain.
Next game was against Sunderland for the premier league, and I lost 2-0! They dominated the game completely!

I need help, please.

1) too many first team signings in a short space of time, disrupts squad harmony
2) not the best formation to use for Utd
3) something must be wrong with the tactic and your approach
4) not the right roles for players (I assume as its on Portuguese)
5) not using the correct approach to teamtalks

1) I signed them all in January 2011. Now i am in September. it as been 8 months.
