hello people i was just wondering if anycone could tell me good corner routines i would like both but defending corners is more needed as i leak lots of goals from corners
thankyou any help is much appreciated
Have Mine: This is for a 4-4-2 formation. Adjust to how many midfielders you have etc.
Corner Takers:- Your best attribute for corners, obviously.
Player instructions:
Goalkeeper - Default Left Back - Offer Short Option Centre Back - Attack Near Post Centre Back - Stand On Far Post Right Back - Attack Ball From Deep Winger - Challenge Keeper Midfielder - Lurk Outside Area Midfielder - Stay Back Winger - Stay Back If Needed Striker - Go Foward Striker - Go Foward
With this tactic, tell your team to aim the corner at the near post. With this, the person attacking the near post should make contact at goal. If not, and he misses it. The player attacking the keeper has ANOTHER chance to make contact. And if not, Then the player just standing on the far post. Should score easily. With these 3 players, make sure they have good heading stats. If it is cleared. The player lurking outside will have a nice volley/long shot.
Hope it helps It does wonders for me. Although, the keeper grabs the ball sometimes, and launches a counter attack. So keep more players back if your up against the likes of Reina etc. Who have a good release throw or kick.
Yep. Here you go mate, Let me know how you get on:
Goalkeeper - Default Right Back - Go Back Centre Back - Mark Tall Player Centre Back - Mark Near Post Left Back - Close Down Corner Winger - Man Mark Midfeilder - Mark Far Post Midfielder - Stay Foward Winger - Mark Small Player Striker - Man Mark Striker - Stay Foward
This isn't the best corner tactic. But stops you from conceding late goals a lot. A load of man marking due to people creeping in. But 2 men staying foward for the counter attack. Also, The post men need to be strong and have good heading. Usually a defensive mid on the far post. Hope it helps. Gets me a good clearance. What is needed.
