Need middlesbrough tactic

im playing in pl with middlesbrough, and i now have one win, one draw and 7 losses.
as you can see i really need a tactic to start gaining points.
its not that i have like the worst team in pl, ive signed stuani, emanuelson, schelotto, rozenhal, borja valero and some more.

plz dont send me links with tactics to download, plz write how i should play instead.

when ever I play as Middlesbrough i prefer to use a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 formation . . . 4 defenders, 2 center mids, 2 wingers and a cam like emnes. behind a lone striker. or a play with a flat back 4, two centre mids, 2 wingers and 2 strikers, I fInd these two formation work for me
