Need some tactical advice from the masters

I've got a 4-3-3 set up nothing to fancy 2 wing backs on att,centre halfs on defend , anchorman roaming playmaker adv playmaker two ins fwds and a false nine managed to win everything at least once but never retained I play standard and fluid but wondering I should do somthing different maybe change to control or put my inside fwds on support

That's it? Not being able to retain titles???? What about the matches themselves?

For one thing, you have a **** of a lot of TIs.

Don't do great against the big boys just want to be able to take my team on and make them more consistent

Honestly, your tactic isn't that bad. I suspect most of your problems are because of the millions of TIs you tacked on. I'd also suggest that closing down and getting stuck in against the big boys is your undoing, but you're not giving any info at all.

Do you watch matches at all or make any attempt to analyse what's going wrong, because (pardon me for making this sound rude) it doesn't sound like it.

First, in what country are you managing ? Second, do you know many teams that retain in every competition ? Third, things should be changed during matches, watch, observe in order to understand what can be improved.

I do watch extended highlights and make little changes here and there for example if I see long balls I drop deep I just won the league but would you advise dropping the get stuck in and closing down I usually download tacs but went on my own this year just looking around for advice

I would advise you to watch the matches where you're struggling to try and see why. You'll be able to see if your attempts at aggressively closing down is working or not.

You really need to give more info here. You're the one with the game in front of you, not anyone else. Do you have issues scoring goals against the top teams or are you struggling defensively? Is ir more the time of the goals, eg late goals? Any info you can think of.

Another thing to consider: You may be losing the ball oftenagainst bigger sides who will close down more. Your TIs encourage slow build up. Play out of defence will give your defence more time on the ball and shorten their passing. Look for overlap will ask your inside forwards to hold up the ball. Shorter passing and lower tempo will also making you easier to defend against as you're limiting passing options and asking players to take more time with the ball.

You might need to be either a little more direct or up the tempo/less holding on to the ball. You might be giving their defence plenty of time to set.

Pay attention to action zones during matches to understand if your team is controlling the midfield, when you control the midfield, you control the match. Personally, I don't like to drop deeper, it's not my way of managing but any ways are legit.
