Another big team naming a fairly weak squad.. very strange.

There squad has never been amazing but it is very effective.

Yeah. It's just never been able to get 'big' names in,but they always come out with good results.

No longer will we see that beautiful '70s Dutch football :'(

There squad isnt great but their midfield and attack have soo much flair they will be tough to stop

they lack class in defence, and will struggle against the bigger sides. if someone like drogba comes up against this defence he would have a field day.

Robben, Sneijder and Van Persie will still make sure they progress to at least the quarters. surprised Van der Sar didn't make a retirement U-turn though.

I wouldn't underestimate their defence.Yes,there are no big names in their defence but they won't just lie down to Drogba.Plus, the midfield looks to work hard for each other and would do anything and everything in their power to stop Drogba.

Plus, their goalkeepers are good enough to keep him out, despite them being quite unknown.

so far quite a lot of people on these threads. have been saying the italy, holland, germany and brazil sides are poor. think they're going to be very suprised in a few weeks

Can someone post some of the lesser known teams squads please? I am getting seriously depressed looking at some of the squads that have been released so far -- Capello has a **** of a job ahead of him. Just can't see England beating alot of these big nations.

If Holland don't self-implode, like they usually do, they'll go a long way. There are some great players in this squad.

De Jong will anchor that midfield, class, honestly how can people call this team ****? its better than the england one!!

Orlando Engelaar is my hero.

Solid squad. Not particularly outstanding, but some quality players in there that can make the difference.

Elia on the left wing is going to give a few right backs headaches

Cannot belive Edson Braafhied is there, hes been terribad for Celtic.

Under Lennon hes lost his place to Naylor, whos come in and been as **** as ever.

Braafhieds FK at the weekend summed up his time at Celtic, nice goal but the freekick as meant to be indirect
