Network game mistake

Ok I accidently took control of my mates manager on a network game, how do I untake control (for want of a better word) so my mate can resume control of his manager?

Go to the holiday mode screen and check the option 'disconnect manager from game' and holiday for 1 day.

Or have the host quit the game and remake it.
