Hi, looking to start a network game on my Mac laptop running 10.5.6, it's bang upto date top spec etc, bought it just to play fm09 coz my old mac couldn't run it, so sad (and costly) but when you're addicted what can you do? 
My mate has a pc although that shouldn't be any problem. My issue is this hamachi software, i have tried to install it which I have done but still cant connect. Done a bit of research but it looks like im going to have get a computer degree first. Seems to involve a load of coding rather than the easier and surely more standard way of installing a program by just double clicking - why did they make it so difficult!!?
Is hamachi the only way to play a network game or can i get round this?
I'm far from being computer illiterate but this just seems to long winded and there must be an easier way for me to whip my mate at a game.
Any help would be massively appreciated.
