Never came back

One of my players just never came back from International duty. All the other players came back and it just said will return on 4/07/2022. This date came and went so in January I loaned him out to a German team and the took him paid his wages and 400k for the loan and he never played a game for them either just getting unfitter and unfitter and still it said with Argentinian squad. Sold him for 15million to Juve on his return (August 2023) just checked on him and he's still with the Argie natio0nal team. Has anybody else had this?

it's happened to me before, but only because i had a huge squad, i also sold the player.

Is it a bug or can you get the player back, I made a nice profit but he was a fantastic player.
