New challenge

So football is back on and like every year I want to get back into footy manager, I usually go off it around March time and then when the season starts and transfers are going mad I want to get back into it but this year I can honeslty say iv not got into a save like previous version of the game, but I feel like I need a goal to aim for, so my question is what are your goals in the game that you try and hit? I'm a manchester United fan and I always try and get a striker iv bought to become the record league goalscorer, which I have never achieved

i always set rules when i start a new save for example only signing one first team player per year thus having to bring through youth which is a great part of the game imo
