New Game Screen Problem

Can someone please help? it randomly happened when I downloaded the update. I can't select the nations I want to be playable so it is really annoying
I've tried posting this on the Si Games forums and the only help they gave me was to delete my settings folder, which didn't work. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that hasn't worked.
Anyone else experienced this problem before or know a solution?
