So, I just got a new laptop, are fm saves logged on steam? So, can I continue with my old fm saves? Or, as I still have my old laptop and hard drive, can a transfer them from my old laptop?

If you've enabled Steam Cloud, they'll be saved on Steam. I personally don't recommend it as the steam cloud is known to have syncing issues. Get your hands on Dropbox and keep your save files in there: best of both worlds
