i'm currently managing Yeovil in the championship in 2010/11 looking like i may just scape into the playoffs with 10 games left in the season

I have a couple of questions which i was hoping someone on here may be able to answer

firstly my ground has a capacity of 9,400 which sells out pretty much every week. i've asked the board to expand it once this season and they said no. so i was wondering if i ask again will they get annoyed. also, how much does it normally cost to expand a stadium ? i only ask as i have £1,000,000 in the bank and no debt.

secondly is there a way to stop my chairman accepting bids behind my back? he sold the club captain last season and tried to sell a wonderkid i signed from belgium this season (luckily he rejected the move as he wanted first team football). if i get my finances up will he stop doing this or will he always have a small time mentality accepting offers when they get close to £1,000,000. i only ask as i've found abou 3 or 4 great youth players who i am trying to develop and the vultures are aleady coming to every league game to watch them.

cheers in advance

if u try next season if your in the prem and you get sold out crowds every game then they shud expand it and bout thte chairman thing there aynt no way to stop that its sumet to do wid there interfance on there chairman attributes

the stadium expansion depends on two circumstances. 1st. is the stadium expandable in it self thats a hidden value - if so its quite cheap 2-4mio every 10k seats. 2nd if you have to build a whole new stadium you should have 20-80mio

your second question you have no "legal" way - but you can cheat the system a bit by setting the price you demand for a player to 1 - you will get a shitload of requests you have to deny but your chairman wont sell anybody for 1pound/€/$ or hat ever currrency you´re using :)

lol the £1 idea is genius

i set all of their asking prices at £10 million but the vultures still swarm

do clubs take out loans in fm2010 to finance stadiums or do they only spend cash in the bank? as i remember in one of the older games my board took out a loan to build more seats in the stadium.

thank you very kindly

The club will automatically take a loan out if they wish to fund a stadium, if you don't already have the funds available. In some cases you start a game with a club which is already paying back a bank loan.

Is your chairman John Fry? I just checked him out and in my game he has his 'interference' attribute is set to 2 only, so it is very surprising that he should be interfering like this. Maybe you are rejecting really good offers?

john fry has some small time mentality. seems to get a hard-on every time an offer comes in for a player in excess of £600k.

granted the club only has £1,000,000 in the bank, but he tried to sell this belgian regen i found that is already in the national squad aged 19 and has got 20 goals in 25 games in the championship. easily the sort of player that is worth a few mil but he took an offer of £700k. luckily the player stayed as he wants to work with me and wants first team football.

plus tbh i'm trying to build a team that will eventually win the premiership. why should i accept any offer for a player that i am sure will be able to lead me to glory.
