Anyone with any good tactis/formations/line ups/roles/signings for Newcastle United? Basically anything and everything as at the moment I am Gateshead, (top of the league after 5 games or so, undefeated with only one draw) just thought a heads up would be good before i decide 2 start a game with my beloved Toon!

Darwin Quintero and Kadlec are goal machines alongside Ba. Bressan good back up. Leandro on loan with option to buy, versatile and CLASS - one for the fututre. Diogo to switch with simpson as i've found them both to be quite inconsistent.
get rid of smith and harper for whatever price and ameobi for about 2.5 mil. gets rid of wages.
4-2-2-2 with DLP, BBW, LAM, RAM (wingers) Tm and poacher has worked well.
Sit top and unbeaten after 8.

If you sell ameobi do the fans get disapointed? as in he's long serving, not for goals/performance? same goes for Harper? wouldn't bother me just wondering? yeah ive heard good things about quintero? what's BBW? Ball winning or box-2-box?

I made quite a few changes on my save with Newcastle. Got rid of Ameobi, Harper, Best, Lovenkrands, but couldn't get rid of Smith, so had to wait for his contract to run out. Brought in Wilfried, Luuk de Jong, Franck Tabanou and Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard... In January I sold Coloccini and bought Shawcross

edit: I also signed M. Diarra on a free contract, as a solid back-up for Tiote and Cabaye.

Nar, they are sad to leaves but just like in real life we arent arsed if they go. Good servants though. got a lot of respect for them.
BBW is ball winning meant to say BW. Bought wilfried on my norwich save and he's torturing the league. Probably better than quintero in my opinion

Done three seasons with Newcastle and started out well with selling Smith for 1.2mill to QPR Loaned in Daniel Sturridge and bought Karim Bayal for 5mill from Celtic. Started well upto Christmas and had bad stage for couple weeks then picked back up after transfers in January where i bought Raul Albiol for 6Mill and Darren Bent for 9.75mill selling Ba to Bolton for 6mill. Now with these players i started a Narrow game slow tempo cutting out wingers playing through middle with a 4-3-1-2 BenArfa in the hole and Ameobi and Best target men Bent and Sturridge playing of them as Poachers. They banged goals away between them especially Best. In the hole Ben Arfa or Haris Vuckic as Trequarista. Then Kayal and Guthrie Advance playmakers in midlle with Tiote in middle playing defensive Playmaker defend. Full backs supporting up the wings. And centre backs doing normal job. finished 7th first season and won league cup. This is the best i have ever done with the beloved Newcastle and enjoying every minute Seaon 4 just started and got good team and worked hard to get it. enough of mine hope that helps abit and good luck

I finished 5th in my first season, winning the league cup and FA Cup semi finalists. Krul, M'Bengue, Vorsah, Coloccini, Santon, Tiote, Quaresma, Cabaye, Jonas, Ba, Sturridge... Played a flat back four and set a deep defence, Vorsah (£6m) and M'Bengue (£7m) were both steals and made the premiership team of the year... Played Tiote in front of the back four, Cabaye just in centre mid with support set, Jonas and Quaresma (£8 million) as attacking midfielders and swapped them over all the time... Then Ba and Sturridge up front and they tore the league to bits... Biggest tip from me is to use the kid Adam Campbell from the youth squad as he was becoming a star towards the end of the season, if you get Demba Ba to mentor him and put him on finishing training he develops quickly with a few runs in the League Cup and from the bench...

I highly recommend signing Daniel Sturridge on loan. He got me 28 goals in total which lead me to win the League Cup in first season. I finished 9th in the League just missing out on 8th on the last day of the season. I signed Diaby from Arsenal for 4.5m and then Kevin Davies from Bolton 2nd half of the season on loan as Ba was injured for 5 months and Best & Ameboi didnt get a goal in a total of 20 games. I played Obertan on the right win and he notched me up 12 league goals which helped a lot. Ba only manged 4 in 20 games which was bad but having a better start in the second season with 5 in 5 games. Managed to get rid of Lovenkrands, Smith, Gutherie and Best and the end of the first season so has give me some more room on my budget.

Adam campbell turns into a gd solid striker for prem he did a job for me in third season but cant fit him in now so he gone on loan but still a gd player. Sturridge is a quality loan player i say everyone seems to get him and gets the best out of him. Ur right bout tiote he plays that role superbly and is a very strong player in there.
