Decided to go for Arsenal.. Played 10, won 9 lost 1.. i lost against Swansea 3-0 away, must've been my teamtalk.
I've noticed that this formation is very solid, but i've only managed to score 20 goals in 10 games, which for Arsenal is poor.. i average around 25 shots per game, it can get frustrating sometimes when the likes of Giroud, Ozil and Cazorla are shooting and missing sitters, but that's probably the match engine..

This tactic has the potential to be brilliant, i look forward to the full version and i will carry on with my Arsenal save.

Ps the only tweaked i made was on my striker, player instructions - shoot less, as he was having shots from 30-40 yards and they were going terribly wide.

in my tweaking version iv'e actually had my striker to shoot less, if your getting beat 3-0 by Swansea try messing about with the team mentality so instead of control try attacking or overload or maybe counter, i did this against Man city i was going down 2-0 at 1st half i changed it to overload and it ended up 2-2 whilst playing away to them

also for insides forwards have your left footed player on your right wing and vice versa because with Newcastle HBA & Remy are beast when they cut inside

I'm going to test your tactic with Fenerbahce in Turkish League (H)

View attachment 406728You know i love you Nezza but this tactic aint working for me :(

show me your screenshots of your players, i know Southampton have some very good players but i think a 4-3-3 doesn't suit there style but still if i see your players i could fix the problem.

I tried this for half a season with Newcastle and I constantly drew. Just doesn't seem to have enough goal scoring chances.

I do like the idea though, being a Newcastle fan this is similar to how I'd imagine them.

I had been thinking of trying the same setup with the back 4, then a regista, then an AP and a BWM with 2 IF and a poacher.

Actually i think it fits perfectly. The best tactic for me last year was 4-3-2-1 Zenith By Qetesh (its here in the fm 2013 fm-base forum if u ant to take a look). I have tried to recreate it but the AF and the wingers are not working .. The design is the same as yours, and the principles of play are also similar.
By the way, i tried your tactic with newcastle in 1st season from january to the end and won the premier (first half of the season was with my clone Qetesh tactic).. I feel it needs a few tweks but overral is great. Congrats!!
Thats the layout i like the most so keep on the good job.. :)

Cheers

cheers mate, i'm still tweaking it bit by bit to get it up to standards so far iv'e only lost 2 games 2-1 against Liverpool away & 2-1 against Arsenal in the capital one cup first leg but the second leg i smashed them 5-2 at home, overall it does what i needed and that's solid defence - possession in midfield and attack in the final third

post some screenshots of your players and training and i'll help your situation if you want.

i think also i got to consider the bugs & flaws in the match engine, i remember in FM 13 in the first week i created my 4-4-2 to be proud off tactic and i had massive success with it as did others, i pit my tactic to go against the bugs and thats what made it successful but then when the bugs got fixed it ruined my tactic :@

I didn't change much from the NUFC squad. I signed Honda, Mussachio and Admelison and that was about it.

Did tactics/tactics until fluid then balance/def. positioning after it was fluid.

I'm not saying it's **** hah, just trying to think of ways to improve the shots on goal. I like the idea behind it, definitely.

try attacking & overload and keep the balance on very high until fluid then put it to medium

When will the full tactic be ready mate? looking forward to using it
