Hi all,

Wonder if anyone could lend a hand and provide some advice.

Finished 8th then 7th so not all bad, however now looking to take the next steps to glory and take them into the top 4.

At times I've been very inconsistent but also got some shockingly good results. Not sure if it's good management or just good/bad luck at times but I find it most frustrating.

Tactics and Subsequent team instructions thumbnails are attached, I think.

There are no player instructions.

Any advice would be muchly appreciated.

Thanks.

Season had gone straight down the pan and I'm lucky other managers are performing so poorly. Not yet been threatened with the sack but I think it could be around the corner if things don't pick up.

Got 8 league games left to turn it around, currently sitting in 11th. Any help possible would be greatly appreciated.

Your tactics look a bit muddled in my opinion. Which is the main one you use? I make one tactic which I use to control games and attack, and then have a counter tactic ready to pull out when necessary.

Ive never been a fan of 4-2-3-1 really, but it no doubt works for others. Personally Ive found playing a wide game with a DM, wing backs, a winger and an inside forward works really effectively on FM 15. You could easily do this with Coleman, Sarabia, Cissoko, etc.

I'd go back to basics. Google FM 15 tactics guide and read up. Create a simple tactic that best utilises your strongest players. Use a couple team instructions and build it up slowly.

Thanks for the reply.

Generally I use 4-4-1-1. I've tried a variation where one of the central midfielders is a DM but it often leaves me short in the middle of the park. Any thoughts in this?

I'm going to try to change it up slightly by using your advice of wing backs and IF/winger but the DM is the sticking point.

I'd go with something like this.

LB - Cissoko. Wing back (support)
CB - Martins Indi, Okore. Central Defender (defend)
RB - Coleman. Wing back (support)

DM - ? Defensive Mid.
CM - Delph. (Box to box)
CM - Perrerya. AP Attack.

RM - ? Inside Forward preferably.
LM - Sarabia. Winger (attack)

ST - Fierro. AF.

Tactics - Control, Flexible. Play wider, higher tempo, Close Down More, look for overlap, whipped crosses.

Can add in Shorter passing, work ball into box and change your wing backs to more attacking when you want to boss. That'd utilise Coleman better aswell.

Ok thanks. I managed to get Balanta on the cheap so he partners Okore/Vlaar/Martins Indi. Federico Bravo as DM with one of three to act as box to box midfielder. Adam Johnson and Hector Villalba to rotate as the right side IF. Benteke to back up Fierro.

Will give it a go, but thanks again. Will check back in to confirm success or not haha.

In fact, whilst I'm here. What do you reckon training wise? I currently have balanced/average with the match tactics as advised by my next opposition scout.

Yeh nice, strong squad. What about a new left back aswell? Then you'd be sorted. And yeh I do the same with my training.
