Well Beckham has stepped down, finally. WHo do you think should be Englands next captain?

I've gone for Gerrard as he's the best man for the job, he leads by example and always give 100%.

I would say John Terry

I think any of they players would be a good captain tho.

Terry.......Wrong thread area. This should be for the A-league.

same reason for me with john terry

also why isnt david james on the list?

my vote is for Neville he has the expo and is just amazing in general :D

Big JT for me, Being a defender he can see whats going on etc, so would be better than Gerrard who we need to concentrate on going forward I know its not stopped him for Liverpool but I think Terry would be better, he seems to have the respect of the dressing room. Not been a bad few years for Terry, establishes himself in Chelski squad, becomes captain, wins titles, gets in england squad, first choice CB, captain. Great for him.

I agree with Kris.

my votes on gerrard aswell, although terry is a dead certain to get it.

Terry is too young to be a captain. My vote is for Gary Neville.

Yeah I voted for JT aswell, i think that it will be close between him and Gerrard but everyone is saying John Terry so if it aint him it would be a suprise.

I don't know what has been said about John Terry but there are a few people saying Gerrard would be best for the role including Rafa, Terry Butcher, Peter Beardsley, and Fowler.

Well not everyone then lol {didn't mean it like that}, just genrally most people but it will be close still, but in my opinion it would be a surprise if he doesn't get it.

Thanks for whoever necroed this thread.
