hi does anyone know if there is a way to edit the promotion relegation of leagues for the next season so that you can make them realistic for example set up a database so that burnley, hull & portsmouth will start the 10/11 season in the championship and newcastle, west brom & blackpool will begin it in the premiership?

You can try, but it'll take a while! If you check the leagues, e.g. the Premiership, there is a "Teams (for next season)" option - try filling these pages out in all the English leagues, and holidaying the database for a season. I have no idea whether this will work or not though!
