No option to chose'generated and real pictures' ?? please

hi guys, when i was playing FM i noticed that my regens have no dummies faces so iwent to check the option for real and generated pictures. it was on real pictures only and when i tried to put generated and real pictures' i couldn't choose it it was with faint writing and i couldn't chose it. if anyone knows how to deal with this i'd really appreciate it
