A hectic start of the game and now an early chance for Tottenham.
Chadli is coming inside from the left, he gives a lovely through ball, Eriksen is onside and one on one with Courtois.

Christian Eriksen slots the ball with a controlled finished into the right bottom corner 1-0

In this second half Chelsea is searching for the equalizer, Azpilicueta opens it to Oscar who finds Pedro and Vertonghen gets him of the ball but it falls for the feet of John Terry.

Eriksen tries to find Kane, who sees that the gap he was hoping for is getting closed, so he playse the ball out wide to Townsend. Azpilicueta tries to intercept but by this he gives Townsend all the space to cut inside. Townsend cuts inside leaving Azpilicueta in the dust and shoots from the edge of the box!

Man City - Arsenal KICK OFF

The first 20 minutes are for Manchester City, but the citizens can’t seem to get a breakthrough yet. Here is a free kick about 25/30 yards out and its Toure who will be behind it. The ball goes harsh toward the left top corner, Cech saves it but can’t keep hold of the ball. Bony is first to the ball.

Goal 1-0 Wilfried Bony 21st minute he was the quickest to reach the ball that Chech spilled.

Manchester city is combing around Arsenal’s box to find the gap, it seems that Sterling finds that space. He finds Bony in the box and is this the chance for 2-0?

Yes it is Bony buries the ball in to the bottom left corner 2-0 28th minutes played.

Manchester City tried to walk away as Arsenal tried to come back in the game. But both teams couldn't find the back of the net so Manchester City wins with 2-0.

"It was disappointed that we were not able to make it a real game, two flashes where enough to kill us of and that is just beneath our quality. We need to have a higher level of performance than we did today and hope that we take the lesson of today to heart."​

An equal game so far Manchester United has more possession but Tottenham creates more chances. Young gets a cross in from the right, he finds Rooney who heads it towards the far corner.

A First half where Arsenal was better but couldn’t manage to make the difference, how wil the second half be?

Arsenal starts very strong in the second half and earns an early corner, nice cross from Özil.

Cazorla heads the corner in goal 1-0 Santi Cazorla 46th minute

Arsenal is pushing and its clear they want to put this game to rest, Debuchy finds Cazorla in the box. Cazorla tries a shot but the ball gets blocked but there is still a chance for Arsenal because the ball fall into Özil's path.

After a equal first half Chelsea more possession Arsenal more shots its still 0-0 lets see what the second half brings us.

Reine-Adelaide beautiful pass to Ramsey who plays it through in one time to Sanchez, Sanchez dribbles in from the left side of the box. He shoots Courtois parries it but the ball fall for Chamberlain.

Mertesacker with a bad pass finds Mikel who plays a lovely through ball to Diego Costa, Costa one on one with Ospina!

Costa places the ball in to the left bottom corner to equalize this game 1-1 69 minutes played.

Lovely build up play by arsenal Giroud plays it to Sanchez, Sanchez with a heavy pass to the right, Baba misses the interception and now its Chamberlain with the chance!

Arsenal is hunting for a 3rd goal to put the next round beyond any doubt, and that now seems more likely then Chelsea getting their equalizer. Reine-Adelaide passes his man, what a lovely ball to Higuain who gets the ball at the edge of the box. Higuain turns Terry and is making his way in the box, can Higuain finish this?

Yes he can, he blasts the ball into the left top corner 3-1 75th minute and with this it seems to be game over for Chelsea!

And it is game over Arsenal knocks Chelsea out of the Capital One Cup and progresses to the quarter finale where it faces Manchester City!

"Thank you very much we have fought hard and showed that we can outplay Chelsea and that feels very good. The Capital One Cup isn't the biggest prize to win but it is still great when you can progress while beating a team of high quality so that is always satisfying. With Manchester City as next opponents it is going to be a though contest but I am convinced that we can progress to the semi finals and hopefully we will."
