Haha,...why just 5, unhappy or ?
How about losing Sneijder on free transfer,..is that count?
 
My biggest mistake was when I, stupidly, let my rubbish assistant manager handle the contract talks, I ended up with 12 players in my whole squad. Then I got fired because I was underperforming in the league.

Which was annoying because most of my first team were youth/reserve players!

That is probably the worst one ive seen in this thread, **** fire!
 
1) Playing as Shakhtar Donetsk and signing 5/6 quality players - Gamiero , Boubacar , Ganso and a few others before realising you can only have a certain amount of foreigners in your matchday squad.

2) Getting excited when seeing aload of great players on the transfer list and buying them all , I ended up with 9/10 centre midfielders.
 
This was on FM10, but I bought this regen called Sam Smith from Middlesbrough for £43.5million, to which he then kept giving abysmal performances, such as 5.4, 5.7, 6.2 etc.

I then sold him for less than £20million to Chelsea, and, although he was still poor, he was a massive mistake. But I had a tightened up my defence, and went on to win the league and Champions League the following year.
 
Signing Chris Gunter for a relegated Blackpool just to see me through to end season but he put in some good performances so I thought i would keep him problem was I didnt read his contract terms he had Match Highest Earner clause he went from 13k to 50k to 76k just under a year went in alot of debt moral of the story STAY AWAY FROM MATCH HIGHEST EARNER CLAUSE !
 
same as A*Manager with shakhtar, totally forgot about the foreigner rule, spent all my money on good players. that turned out to be a bit of a fail save, desparatly needing to sign cheap good ukranians and realising there isnt (m)any :(

That's happened to me aswell.
I had Ganso who was already on £85,000K a-week , two seasons later he became unhappy so I offered a new contract. He ended up on like £200K per week with huge appearance/goal fee's :@

I just got excited about the big budget and went and bought the whole world , without actually
reading the league rules!
 
Resigning and being unable to get a job....I really should have piled up more success and then waited to field the offers..but alas that is not the case I am currently jobless and in 2013 nearly 2014.

Time to start again.
 
got to be, buying Jack Wilshere for 27 million

not bad, but he got injured for most of the season and then wanted out of the club next year :(
 
Once signed Vedad Ibisevic on my Villa save on deadline day after i had submitted my final squad registration therefore making unable to play any League games in the first half of the season.
 
lost a cup, then reload it..then gets boring(6) (but this only happen when I started to play FM in 2010 after know how to play it properly, i now can accept the defeat(A))
 
On my current game with Badalona I sold my keeper to make some money, thinking that my new 18 year old regen keeper would be good enough to make the step up. How I was wrong.

Oh and making Dunc a mod.
 
Playing as Utd at the moment. VDS said that he was going to retire at the end of the season so I bought Ochoa but decided I didn't need him till next season. So I offered VDS a new contract as a gk coach but I forgot that he has to finish his original contract before u offer him a new one so long story short I'm now stuck with Kus and Lindegaard and Amos is out on loan to West Ham. To make things worse I can't register Lindegaard in the epl any more so I now have to make do with just Kus in goal and no backup keeper :(
 
isgning pascal chimbonda pure joke he has been dire and every week he injures a player in my team in training. first he injured dudek out for 4 months then injures my back up left b back for 4 weeks after my starting left back gets injured for 3 months lol feel like sacking him.
