Overview

Nuneaton Borough F.C. were founded but in 1991, the club ran into financial difficulties and were renamed Nuneaton Borough AFC. In 2008 the club was liquidated, and were reformed as Nuneaton Town ? suffering a two division demotion. The club is still known as 'The Boro' by locals and by those who support the team. The club play their home fixtures at Liberty Way in their home kit of blue & white vertical stripes.

There current chairman is Local Business Man Ian Neale, During this time he has Led the club to;
In June 2008, the club was reformed as Nuneaton Town F.C. Following Nuneaton Borough's liquidation The FA insisted that the new club have a different name, accompanied by a double relegation to the Southern League Division One Midlands.
On Saturday 2 May 2009, Town clinched promotion via the play-offs of the Southern League Division One Midlands, beating Chasetown 1?0 through top scorer, Rob Foster, this was in front of a Liberty Way record crowd of 3,111.
On Saturday 1 May 2010, Town clinched a second successive promotion, beating Chippenham Town in the Southern League Premier Division play-off final.

The 2011-12 season saw Nuneaton finish fifth in the Conference North, therefore taking the last Playoff position, following a 6-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player after a mix-up with the registration of on-loan Andy Brown. Without the deduction they would have finished third. They played Guiseley in the semi-finals and won 2?1 on aggregate. They later played Gainsborough in the final, in which they won 1?0. They sealed promotion to the Confrence National for the 2012-13 season, with the before mentioned Brown scoring the decisive goals in both of these ties.
The 2012-13 Season saw Nuneaton finish 15th place, as they look towards building for the future, With that Manager Kevin Wilkin left his Role as Manager after 5 seasons with the club.

We start with some new additions, Aljaz Cotman is a former wolves trainee with League one potential, Fred Murray is a 31 year old full back with League one and two experience, Sebastien Carole is a former leeds, brighton and monaco Winger, and finally Blair Sturrock who has a wealth of league experience, mainly with Plymouth Argyle and Swindon and Gethin Jones who is a solid centre half that began his career at Cardiff City

Our outgoing transfers include 20 year old striker Connor Taylor going on a season loan to Boreham Wood, Delroy Gordon left on a free to worcester and also Simon Foresdick & Danny Sleath have left by mutual consent.

Nice way to finish pre-season, Hopefully we can now kick on!

August 2013

So, it was time to begin. The bookies had made us 40-1 for the title, and told us we were one of the favorites for relegation, but that was expected, We had a tough opening month, with trips to the league favorites Grimsby & Barnet, as well as a tricky trip to Macclesfield to begin the campaign.

We Began by adding John Goddard to our squad,

September

So after a brilliant start last month we were looking to continue our good form, Trips this month include Woking, Dartford and a tough game at Cambridge, also we had 3 winnable home games.

Nuneaton 1-1 Wrexham

Walker 17
View attachment 452466
Probably my toughest home game this month, After taking the lead we couldn't hold on, and the game fell away into a boring stalemate.

Dartford 0-2 Nuneaton
Carole 38, Brown pen47
View attachment 452459
Solid away win, 3 points and a clean sheet, couldn't have asked for more

Nuneaton 0-1 Hereford

Just wow, absolutely fantastic, attacking wise we were untouchable and certainly sending a message out to all of the other sides n this division, Unfortunately losing Adam Walker for 8 weeks put a small dampener on the win.

Woking 1-5 Nuneaton

Again, dominated the possession and made the better chances, but just couldn't find a way through.

Nuneaton 2-0 Braintree
Brown 18, McNamee 86
View attachment 452365
Brilliant result, Braintree had won there last 5 before they met us, controlled the game and thrilled with a clean sheet. One down point was that Andy Brown will be out injured for 6 weeks, which is a blow as he is currently the sides top scorer with 11 goals in 15 games.

Before the game at home to Gateshead we announced the loan signing of 22 year old Jake Reed from Dagenham & Redbridge, he will be with us for 2 months.

Pre-season 2014-15

Well what a summer, ive certainly learnt a few things about the footballing world, ive realized that getting a part time side and turning the into full time is expensive. attracting players is also difficult. But with the Pitch relayed and new staff on board were looking fresh and ready to go And a new contract for Malcolm christie, til 2018

View attachment 451304Tried to bring in a mix of youth and experience, Mat Harold is a good Striker who has been around, Nigel Seidu was released by West Ham this summer and Dwayne Mattis has played in the Championship previously.
Our outgoings include fringe players, apart from the 2 obvious which Are louis Moult and Wes York who both decided they wanted a Fresh Challenge.
