Former player/manager has left the club following a dispute with the Raith Rovers owners. Murray spent around 4 years at the club, making 106 league appearances in the process. His departure has triggered shock around the town of Kirkcaldy, with fans wondering what happened to cause such a surprising event.
So who's the new guy?
Kieran Laing was appointed immediately following Murray's resignation. Despite not having any previous experience at a football club, Kieran has been a life long Raith fan and believes he has got what it takes to turn the clubs' fortunes around.
"I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years. I've witnessed many highs and lows. I understand that fans are slightly wary of my appointment but as a local lad growing up here, I think my love for the club can bring some success. Our budget may be minimal and we might not have the best facilities, but I think the current group of players have what it takes to do well this season."
