So I'm playing as Arsenal in a pretty standard 4-2-3-1 formation. It's coming up to January in the first season, and I just can't seem to get anything out of Giroud. He was my top player for preseason, and scored twice in our first three league games. Since then though he's only scored twice in about nine games, and is averaging a 6.8. I've had to drop in favor of Jamie Vardy (bought him for the sake of banter, failed to score in his first few appearences and is now 4 goals in seven games since).

What role should I play Giroud in? Player instructions? I purchased Vardy and Breel Embolo during the summer, and with Welback eventually coming back from injury I'd rather move Giroud on if I can't get any use out of him.

Complete Forward is his best role. Same with Embolo.

If you can get a good enough offer sell him though

I would maybe try to use him as a target man(Attack) as he doesn't have the physical attributes or dribbling skills required of an advanced forward or complete forward

I also have embolo atm and I'm using him on the left wing atm, he plays very much like Henry there.

For me I set him to target man in support role (H)

hold position

his form is depend on your midfield

because Giroud is don't have dribbling and speed ability

But his height and heading ability is strong point

play cross ball from sideline

he is more effective

try it ....
