Yeah, was made up with the Chelsea result. It had to be Suárez who scored aswell. A bit dissapointed we couldn't capatalise on City with the extra man. Also glad about Carroll's form, normally a ***** to get him to perform haha!

Fulham 1-1 Liverpool
(Suárez)

Liverpool started off the festive period with a draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage today. It was also the first time manager Alan Marshall has experienced back to back draws in the Premier League also. The match started off pretty slow with sloppy passes and bad tackles all over the pitch, it wasn’t until the 41st minute when Luis Suárez had broken the deadlock with a neat finish which sent The Reds 1 up at half time. In the second half Fulham were knocking on Liverpool’s door with plenty of chances to grab an equaliser, it was a period were Pepe Reina had to be alert. But it wasn’t until Fulham’s American midfielder Clint Dempsey scored in the 71st minute to earn his club a well deserved draw. With that result Liverpool have slipped down to second for the first time in the league this year.

Birmingham 0-2 Liverpool
(Skrtel, Agger)

Birmingham hosted high flying Liverpool for the Carling Cup quarter final at St. Andrews today. Liverpool had to rely on their defence as it seemed that their attackers were all having an off day. Liverpool’s opener came from Martin Skrtel in the 5th minute after he headed home a Jordan Henderson corner. Although Birmingham was playing at home they didn’t really get into the game and The Blues went in at half time 1 down. Liverpool’s other centre half Daniel Agger completed the rout for his team when he scored a header from yet another Jordan Henderson corner.

Liverpool 3-0 QPR
(Skrtel, Agger, Kuyt)

Liverpool had to thank their defensive again today as they hosted the last promoted team QPR at Anfield today. One of the main talking points was Djibril Cisse making his return to Merseyside. Liverpool played QPR off the park in the first half but couldn’t find a way to brake down the defensive and the teams went in at the break 0-0. The breakthrough didn’t come until the 56th minute when Martin Skrtel for the second time in 2 weeks scored a header from a corner, Daniel Agger then scored for the second time in 2 weeks as his shot came from the underside of the crossbar and went in. Winger Dirk Kuyt completed the scoring from the spot in 85th minute.

Aston Villa 1-0 Liverpool

For only the second time this season Alan Marshall’s Liverpool side were defeated by Aston Villa at Villa Park today. It was an entertaining first half with both clubs attacking dangerously, but surprisingly it finished 0-0 at half time. Aston Villa took the lead early in the second half with a freak goal scored by former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey. Liverpool then done everything to get back into the game but Shay Given was on top form in between the Villa posts.

Wigan 1-0 Liverpool

For the first time in the Premier League this season Liverpool have lost back to back games, this time against Wigan at the DW Stadium today. Liverpool couldn’t really get into gear as Wigan’s pitch was terrible due to the Rugby game played on it only a few days before. Ben Watson scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute with a today finish from 17 yards out.

Liverpool 3-0 Blackburn
(Skrtel, Downing, Suárez)

Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Blackburn at Anfield today. Manager Alan Marshall had to somehow galvanise his team after they received back to back defeats over the past 2 weeks. The Reds were playing with style and freedom as they were at the start of the season, and the goal finally came in the 37th minute when Martin Skrtel who has been in outstanding form all season scored a commanding header. The second half was pretty quiet until the final10 minutes when Liverpool kicked into final gear and scoring to goals, first came from Stewart Downing in the 85th minute then Luis Suárez in the 88th minute.

BLACKBURN SACK STEVE KEAN!

Reports just in from Ewood Park as Blackburn the Venky’s have decided to sack Steve Kean for his poor management during the season. Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle
(Krul, Carroll, Skrtel)

Liverpool finished the year with a 3-0 win over Newcastle at Anfield today. The game didn’t start well for The Magpies or Tim Krul as he scored an own goal in the 6th minute, just as things were going well for Liverpool their luck changed as Luis Suárez went off injured in the 14th minute. Andy Carroll who came on for the injured Suárez scored against his old club in stoppage time of the first half to make sure his new club went in with a two goal cushion at the break. Liverpool commanded the second half just as they did the first and defender Martin Skrtel marked off a wonderful year for himself at the club by scoring the clubs third and final goal in the 78th minute.

With that win Liverpool finish the year in second, trailing Tottenham by 5 points and Chelsea complete the top 3 who are trailing Liverpool by 8 points.

Now that the January 2012 transfer window is open the rumours are flying around already that Liverpool are interested in Napoli attacking midfielder and Slovakia captain Marek Hamsik, rumours say they are also interested in Belgium winger Eden Hazard. Real Madrid are trying to prize away Uruguayan forward Luis Suárez from Liverpool, apparently they are prepared to bid £25m whilst Inter Milan want Jose Enrique and Man City are after Liverpool youngster Jack Robinson. Papers say that League leaders Tottenham are interested in Everton full back Leighton Baines and London club Fulham will be the ones to watch in this window as they have came into a bit of money after their takeover.

Man City 1-2 Liverpool
(Skrtel, Carroll)

Liverpool started off the new year win a win over Man City at the Etihad Stadium today. It was an entertaining first half with plenty of attacking possession for both teams but it was Liverpool who took the lead with a goal from Martin Skrtel who seemed to start the year the way he finished the last, with a goal. Towering striker Andy Carroll then gave Liverpool a two goal advantage in the 41st minute. In the second half Roberto Mancini’s men couldn’t seen to get the ball off Liverpool who were zipping the ball across the pitch making Man City chase shadows, but then against the run of play in the 55th minute Ivorian Yaya Toure pulled one back for The Citizens, it wasn’t enough though as the match finished 2-1.

Hartlepool 1-2 Liverpool
(Bellamy, Carroll)

Liverpool fielded their second team as they eased past Hartlepool in their FA Cup third round tie at Victoria Park today. Andy Carroll continued his goal scoring run with a goal in the 9th when he hit a rocket into the top corner. Craig Bellamy then scored his fourth of the season when he received the ball on the left wing, dribbled inside two defenders and curled the ball past the Hartlepool keeper in the 12th minute. Luke James scored for Hartlepool in the 82nd minute but it only proved to be a cons elation as the match finished 2-1.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool
(Kuyt)

Nottingham Forest proved a tricky team to beat as Liverpool struggled to a 1-0 victory at The City Ground today. Forest came out of the blacks first and showing Liverpool why they deserve to be in the final with plenty of chances to ****** the lead but The Reds defence was on hand to slam the door shut multiple times. In the second half and with one of Liverpool’s only attacks of the game top goal scorer Dirk Kuyt buried in the 52nd minute to give his team a slender 1-0 lead going into the 2nd leg at Anfield in a weeks time.

Liverpool 2-0 Stoke
(Shelvey, Adam)

Liverpool put in a controlling performance as they brushed aside Stoke in a 2-0 win at Anfield today. Things started bad for Liverpool as Dirk Kuyt went off injured 4 minutes into the game but Jonjo Shelvey, who has started quite a few games for Liverpool this season scored his first goal for the club in the 16th minute as he carefully placed the ball in the bottom corner past Asmir Begovic. In the second half Liverpool lost another player to injury when Daniel Agger hobbled off but in stoppage time substitute Charlie Adam sealed the win for Liverpool from outside of the box.

Bolton 1-1 Liverpool
(Carroll)

Liverpool slipped to their third draw of the season with an off performance against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium today. It was a pretty boring first half the only thing to report of was David Wheater picking up a yellow card in the 7th minute and Dirk Kuyt again had to go off injured for the second game in a row. In the second half Charlie Adam had the chance to score from the spot but his effort hit the post which kept the score at 0-0. Andy Carroll then gave Liverpool the lead in the 69th minute but Bolton weren’t behind for long as Martin Petrov equalised in the 71st minute, Liverpool right back Martin Kelly then went off injured in the 76th minute and the game finished 1-1. How important will Charlie Adam’s penalty miss effect the title race?

Liverpool 1-0 Swansea
(Carroll)

Liverpool completed January with a 1-0 over Swansea at Anfield today. As The Reds have done lots of this season, they came out of the blocks on fire and Andy Carroll fired his team in front on the 5th minute to carry on his remarkable goal scoring form this year. After the goal Liverpool seemed to get complacent and their shooting accuracy dropped dramatically with only 1 shot on target for the rest of the game. With that win it still keeps the clubs hot on Tottenham’s tail, they are still only 5 points behind and the hap could be closed to only 2 points if they beat them in February.

Wolves 0-1 Liverpool
(Coates)

It was a scrappy affair as Wolves hosted Liverpool at Molineux. There were not many things to take note on today’s match only that a win would keep Liverpool hot on the heels of league leaders Tottenham, and they did exactly that when young Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates climbed highest to nod in the only goal of the game from a Stewart Downing corner. This win keeps Liverpool within 2 points of Tottenham with a chance to climb to 1st if they defeat the London club next week.

Liverpool 3-1 Tottenham
(Suárez x2, Downing)

Liverpool hosted league leaders Tottenham in a potentially title deciding game today at Anfield. The man talking point before the game was manager Alan Marshall’s decision to drop in form Andy Carroll to the bench and opt for Luis Suárez upfront. Things started bad for Liverpool as captain Steven Gerrard earned himself a straight red in the first 5 minutes. Liverpool controlled the match although they where one man down, and in the 15th minute Alan Marshall’s tactic seemed to pay off as Luis Suárez scored a sensational goal, he then scored again in the 20th minute. Tottenham’s Brazilian defensive midfielder Sandro pulled one back in the 41st minute to make the score 2-1 at half time. Tottenham then became dominant in the second half using the extra man to their advantage until deep into stoppage time Stewart downing popped up at the back post to score. Liverpool have now climbed above Tottenham and are now ahead by one point.

Man Utd 2-2 Liverpool
(Suárez, Kuyt)

Manchester United hosted now again league leaders Liverpool for what proved to be an exciting match at Old Trafford today. Liverpool came into the game after regaining top spot with a 3-1 win over Tottenham, and they took the lead inside the first 10 minutes when Luis Suárez for the net for the third time in 2 games. Korean winger Park Ji-Sung got the equaliser for United in the 40th minute to make the score 1-1 at half time. Liverpool took the lead again in the 64th minute when penalty specialist Dirk Kuyt scored from the spot, but then United got another equaliser through Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, his goal then earned United an undeserved point as the game ended 2 a piece.

Liverpool breezed into the next round of the FA Cup when they were hosted by Hull at The Circle today. Luis Suárez opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a chip over the Hull keeper. Suárez then scored his second at the end of the first half. England U21 Jonjo Shelvey completed the scoring for Liverpool in the 89th minute with a close range finish for his second goal of the season. Liverpool 1-1 Everton
(Kuyt)

Everton will be the happier of the Merseyside clubs as they held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield today. Liverpool dominated possession but could not find a way to score in the first half, but a touch of genius from Dirk Kuyt in the 34th minute sent The Reds in 1 up at half time. Liverpool then dominated the second half like they did the first but yet again couldn’t find the second goal they were after. Then, against the run of play Nikica Jelavic scored a placed shot which earned Everton a draw. Manager Alan Marshall is likely to be unhappy at the result as he felt his side done enough to win the game.

Liverpool 1-0 Bolton
(Suárez)

Liverpool celebrated cup final victory today as they ended a streak of 6 years without a trophy with a 1-0 win in the Carling Cup final against Bolton at Wembley today. Liverpool looked to have played with real passion and desire as every player looked at the top of their game, zipping the ball about and making Bolton work hard for the ball. Liverpool anchorman Lucas went off injured in the 19th minute which seemed to disrupt the tempo of the game. It wasn’t until the 41st minute when Uruguayan marksmen Luis Suárez fired Liverpool into the lead with a clean strike from outside the box which goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen had no chance of stopping. Liverpool then pushed on in the second half to finish the game but Bolton looked to be playing defensive as they had 10 men behind the ball at all times.

When the final whistle went a mighty uproar echoed around the famous arena and Liverpool players and staff flooded the pitch in celebration. Manager Alan Marshall was then the focus of attention as he ended Liverpool’s cup drought, in an interview after the game he had this to say, “I’m very proud of my team and they should be proud of themselves, as a club we’ve worked hard all season and it’s paid off with a trophy, we are still in with a shout to claim the FA Cup and the league so the rest of the season looks good for us, I’m a lucky person really to have had the chance to inherit such a brilliant team which in all honesty has made my job easier over my time at Liverpool. The hard work starts now, we can’t turn off because we’ve won a cup, we need to keep going strong and playing the way we have been for the rest of the season.”

Keep it up mate, when's the next update?

Thanks man, but unfortunately my laptop had a major meltdown and had to be factory reset as I could not even turn it on. I managed to finish the season in which I won the Carling Cup and won the prem by 2 points which went down to the final day and I got to the semi final of the FA Cup which I lost 2-1 to Chelsea. I'm absolutely guttered and I will try get another story going as soon as I have enough time. :(

Thanks for your support and everyone elses who has followed the story :)

Quality mate!

Thanks mate :)

What Tactic are you using, you are doing amazingly well!

I used my own custom one, nothing special. I just picked my own formation and then played to the sqauds strengths and then duplicated it for control at home and counter away from home :)

Use them if you want, but they will only work with Liverpool..
