And I thought it was bad for us having to download all the Premier League badges and facepacks but you don't even get the game.

Now I understand why the Bundesliga wasn't on pes10.

I'm not sure about that. I put this here to see if someone responds to it. And I am surprised that there is more response as I thought. On the other side I thought more Germans to be in here. As FM is quiet popular for a banned game, I think. Probably I put something similar into the official SI forum in English and German asking the readers of it to post complains to the European Commission. As the status quo violates EU regulations.
I don't understand. Why can't you buy it on the internet or Steam? If you live close to Heidenheim an der Brenz, then i'd take a copy with me from Denmark if you want. I am going to Germany next week, going to stay there for 2 weeks. :P

Ich spreche auch Deutsch mit einigen grammatischen Fehlern ;)

Danke für das nette Angebot. Ich habe FM 11.

I can buy it on the internet. But if I would buy it on the internet, then I couldn't activate it from Germany.
Probably I could buy it from Steam if I put my PC virtually to the UK (e.g via ExpatShield).
So if I want to play the game here, I anyway have to do something sort of criminal, that is what I am upset with.

I have no clue what the deal is with not being able to purchase this game (or any game that does not violate German law) is all about... But EA monopolizing sports games is nothing new. They do the same thing in America with American Football games like Madden and NCAA by locking the NFL and NCAA into exclusive deals just like they have now done with the GFB. Im sure they have probably tried to lock up FIFA in an exclusive deal, and failing that they have now started trying to just lock up individual countries. They have been sued in American courts many times over it, but nothing so far has come of it. When it comes to monopolies in the video gaming industry, its not exactly high on the list of priorities for Governments to go after.

You are absolutely right. Exactly that has happened. And there for sure is no Governement priority to it. But this facts reveal the real value of free market principles as the holy cow those officially are for the EU.

Why don't you just pirate it? :P Here in Georgia all games are pirated from the net and burned into discs and are in Russian... and put in stores...

Why do you buy the game off a website thats in the uk and have it shipped to you? I dont think it will require activation, but i got my copy off steam so i cant be sure on that.
