oppo player instructions

i was just wondering how many people out there use this and whether they find it affective??i cant really say and i switch from time to time as to wether or not to use it.your thoughts please guys
 
I can honestly say I have never used these bar maybe the first 2 times I played the game. There should be a feature where your *** man takes care of this stuff.

I don't think it makes a massive difference, I have still managed to take average clubs into cup finals and European qualification.
 
I always put closing down/always in strikers, and tight mark/always on key players and amc/r/l

but it doesn't make much effect
 
yeah i was thinking that there should be an auto thing for the assistant because its pretty pointless lol
 
do you think someone could make the option of assistant doing it in the next fm patch?
 
I never use the OI and never will,in fact the few times i have tried them it has ended in disaster for me.Simply ignore them i say.
 
yeah i was thinking the same.it annoys me tho when you get assistant feedback and hes telling you all sorts of bull about closing people down etc

Just go on google for pics of what you want,save them then edit your profile on here and upload the pics.

same way fella just go to the options on your profile and click "edit signature"...
 
Depends on tactic, I use Zonal marking + loose marking tactics a lot to keep shape so setting to close down and/or tight marking the right opponent players is important.

Careful how you use them. Some instructions can actually hurt your team very badly. especially the closing down action.
 
I change my tactics according to what is reported. If he says fast strikers I play deep and close down own half. If there midfield are strongest area I close down whole pitch to stop them sending balls and making plays.

It worked for the first 15 games for crawley where I went undefeated but now my club seems to be falling to pieces.

It may be time to go back to basics mate.
 
used them in the past but find it makes your defence go walkabouts so stopped
 
i always use it. for wing backs i have closing down, tight marking and weak foot as always, center backs as tight marking and tackling hard, wingers the same as wing backs + hard tackling, center midfielders the same and attackers as closing down always and show onto weaker foot

seems to work for me. i am leeds in 4th season and 7th in prem
 
always use it, I close down even the keeper and it does make a difference for me, the downside is that you'll see that wonderful FM AI closing down a striker... with ALL your defenders, so sometimes its a bit frustrting but I am obsessed by recuperation in midfield so I close down everybody, show onto weak foot everybody and enver tight mark, that I leave to normal instructions.
 
What's an example of OI's backfiring?

I imagine it would maybe going in hard on a CM who is Stronger than your own?

Also do people always put wingers onto their weaker foot or do they tend to do it depending on the striker e.g if they have tall heading strikers then force them inside or if the strikers r small and pacey force them onto their strong foot, but make them cross.

An example of OI not working? Well basically getting beat.I have never won a game using them so dont bother an still have lots of success at all levels.Why i dont know.
