Watford is interested in signing my 16 y/o GK regen. He already maxed his potential (146 according to the genie) and they come in with 1.1 million pound offer, which i refuse.

Later that day, they suddenly offer a contract to my regen without any other negotiation with me.

There are no buyout clause in the regen contract. His contract is also still running until June 2018 (i am in January 2017).

How did this happened? How do i stop it?

He's on a youth contract which means he can be approached and signed for a compensation fee.
The best way to stop it is to offer him a new contract

Is this applicable to all players under youth contract? Because i noticed that some players do not have the "approach to sign" option.
