Swansea City FC, formed in 1912, have had a 103 year history filled with conflict, passion, tears, success and a huge evolution. The team are based in the city of Swansea in Wales and have yet become a prominent figure in English football. A lot of dispute rose around the club when they were entered into the English ranks of football as many fans believed that Welsh teams should stay in Wales, since then disagreements have been popping up but the club have gained so many more fans. After world war II the swans found it difficult to make it to the top tier of English football until 1981 where they had great success in the premier division. However following the superb season, financial troubles came and the club were hit hard. A huge decline was to follow which once again saw the club sitting in the murky waters of league 2. Since then however the club have again rose to the top of the game and even onto the Continental stage. Despite this the club were hit hard with the latest rumuors that were floating around…

MONK LEAVES SWANS

Gary Monk has left Swansea by mutual termination after a disagreeing over the future of many deadwood players at the club. It is believed that Monk wasn’t given the go ahead to sell players who were clearly unneeded or unwanted by the club. Swansea will now be looking for a new manager and with only a month until the new season how will the board be able to replace a fan favorite so quickly.

Big Changes at Liverpool:

It has been announced that Liverpool have had a clear-out of Backroom staff with plenty of changes to their coaching team in preparation for the new season, with at least 5 changes to the backroom team. The biggest casualty was Colin Pascoe, the assistant manager at the club, he was one of many who lost their job. It seems he won’t be out of the game for long as he has been linked with jobs such as Fulham, Aston Villa and Swansea.

Pascoe favourite for Swans job.

Just days after facing the axe at Liverpool, Colin Pascoe has been strongly linked with the Swansea job and has recently emerged as favourite for the job. The midfielder spent 8 years at the club as a player and scored 50 goals. Many fans are sceptical of Pascoe getting the job but some see him taking them to a new level.

The Swans are a team I like to see do well so will see how this goes
