i seriously did not see this coming. i wonder if theyr'e going to try and buy as many players as possible with the 80 million.

Manchester United training is far better then Newcastle Training..
I think Ferguson wants to get him back on form and it might well happen in the next 1-3 seasons :P

Still a bit stunned and unsure what to make of this...I mean I used to hate the guy. Think I still do. Yet if as a backup striker if he we can keep him fit-which hopefully we can-I guess it wont be bad to have him there. We still need more though. Hmmmm

Worst signing Newcastle ever made, total waste of money time and space. Cant stand him! I hope he gets injured again and it ends his career :)

It's official, we've signed him.

Btw to all the idiots saying we've missed a 'fox in the box' or a poacher since RVN left, don't talk ****. We might miss it as an option but we don't miss it as a team, we've played football better in the last few years. We won the league and CL last year ffs.

He has signed, in two days he went from a Sid James Park to Theatre of Dreams hope he does well now don't hate him anymore :P

I wonder if he got lost on his way to Eastlands...

Haha,

I used to think this guy was great & loved him while he was younger, but when he started getting older i started to realise he didnt have much left in him :(
I dont really respect him from what he's gone and done now, but i know why he did it.

He knew he didnt have much left in him, Man Utd try to sign him even though they knew it was pretty much over for him. But in Owen's point of view he could see this as his last chance of winning the prem.

But i do think Sir Alex has just screwed up big time xD

He's replaced an on form youngish striker with an off form old striker :D
Plus is he really going to consider replacing berba or rooney with owen?

I'd love if he was able to kick start his career and avoid injury, with the amount of injuries he's had he deserves a run of good form.

i personally reckon it is not a bad deal he is a goal poacher what man utd have needed since the departure of RVN nd we got him for free hopefully he can stay fit

Hmmm starting to look like an interesting season for once.

yep, the transfer window is just starting to throw up surprises....who knows what it will bring next!!!XD

i feel its a good signing for man utd and what could be a world cup winning signing for england. if owen and rooney can recindle the partnership that they had prior euro 2004 then that would be absolutly amazing.

i think this is a great sining for united if he manages to stay injury free (not highly likely lol) but i think sir alex could get the best out of him and he would be a good impact sub for one of the strikers

great signing if he can get and stay fit. Even if they only use him as a rotation player he is still some player to bring off the bench. Can only be good for Welbeck and Macheda aswell
