You dont play the games on fm - you bid on players through pm on each auction round using budget and rules etc from OP. you can also trade players and after a certain number of rounds the season is simulated to see how your teams does and you get prize money depending on it.

Im hoping to just get a few decent players and hope that I can pick up a few bargains later on, but I just wanted a nice start to my team rather than having to buy just whoever is left. Hope it works for me.
