hi all, been browsing the DB since the new patch came out, ive noticed a handful of frankly amateur mistakes:

Robbie Fowler is now at Queensland Roar on the game. In real life he has signed for a new North Queensland side who dont enter the A-League until next season!

There is no recognition of Beckham's loan to Milan. i have posted somewhere before that surely the biggest transfer saga of the last month deserves recognition? milan arent even listed as interested on my game.

On a similar if slightly less high profile note; Landon Donovans loan to Bayern Munich hasnt been recognised either.

Jozy Altidore is still at Villareal despite being loaned to Xerez for the rest of the season on Jan 30th!

Celso Borges has officially signed for Fredirikstad and is set to join in July. this happened on january the 18th. but on the game there is no 'joining Fredirikstad on July 1st' like you would expect.

So what have SI been doing for the past month? i understand that tweaking the match engine taks time, but already many have indentified a new 'bug' with scoring corners at the near post.... but surely they have a team whose job it is to update the transfers correctly?

Anybody got any more transfer mistakes or thoughts on this thread?

stupid patchs, i wish they would just not take one out for months, but get it right at least

Give SI a break people. Not many other game developers would spend as much time as SI do continually trying to improve its product, keeping it updated and fresh and basically bending over backwards to please customers. There is bound to be a few niggles but im more than willing to forgive SI for it as there product gives me hours of fun.:)

yeh they try there best but il agree they shood have at least put beckham in milan

SI DONT PUT EMERGENCY LOANS IN THE GAME , which means that a loan that is less than 90 days is not included eg Beckham and Donovan, I could see your problems if one was included but not the other, SI have been clear and consistent about this.

Theyve also already amited the Fowler mistake

As for the others i can comment really

Whats the bug with scoring corners at the near post? Is it only on patch 3?

Keep discussion to transfers please, use patch thread for bug complaints :P

No Jimmy Walker at Colchester!

He was signed on Loan in November or something, if I remember correctly. He's one of the players that had his loan extended on the last day, with all the papers sent, but the FA say they didn't revieve it, so he isn't actually on loan until end of season.

What's up with the Fowler mistake man!At least they should have gotten that one right since it happened early enogh to give the time to include it in the game.Yet still, despite your attempt to vindicate SI,they should have at the very least made an exception;i mean, this is David Beckam!!!

david beckam? is he any good? similar name to david beckham (H)

ive noticed that even though tevez is "loaned" out to MUFC, why does it say that he is permanently signed? i noticed this on the other patches. is it the same on this patch?

I know SI had to do LOADS of work but there is honestly no excuse for not including the Beckham loan, its been all over the news + papers for quite a while now.

---------------------------

NVM I just saw Gregor's post concerning less than 90 day loans

haha.

Becuase if he was loaned out he'd need a parent club which would be MSI, which isnt a football club so to implement Tevez transfer propelry they would have to do a lot of coding which would also mess around with transfers in the game so implementing that one transfer correctly would cause problems

you know wen u install th new patch does it overwrite the existing database or is a new database added. is it like when u start a new game you have the choice to which database you use.

lol who gives a **** about Fowler :p. not doing 90 day loans is a bit cack aswell but i see there point.

If SI made the game properly in the first place they wouldn't need to continually improve its product! Yes, they have released patches to sort out bugs but, really and truly, if the took more time over the game before they sent it to the shelves they wouldn't need to make so many patches!

Is that so.Name me one game thats been brought out bug free and perfect.Bare in mind how much information and data SI has to pack into FM i dont think they do a bad job.If it was a EA game they would probably charge you for the patch.

Anyway im gonna continue to sing SI's praises as they've just sent me a load of Football Manager merchandise.Top people.:D

Lay off SI.
EA doesnt improve thier products after release.

I noticed a couple of ridiculous transfers.

For some reason they have decided to put Ricardo Rocha on loan at Hull.

(Unless that happened pretty much instantly in the game, I forgot to check that! )
