Lay off SI.
EA doesnt improve thier products after release.

That's not entirely true.....

The latest FIFA has a continually updating feature for in-form players and teams, and with FIFA 08 they updated it to include the Be A Pro online feature which was available at launch.

I agree that EA do just about enough to crank one out each year with slight changes but it isn't always a case of taking the cash and not doing anything extra. ;)

Gudjohnsen at Everton???? WTFFFF

i saw gudjohnsen at everton on mine, but it happened after the game had started. i think everton ahve just been coded to find a loan striker quickly due to their injuries up front and my DB as well as yours must have decided that gudjohnsen fitted the bill!

i didnt mean to lay into SI so much but these guys have been around a long time (im going back into champ man here as well. btw thats still around, out in march and i dont know of a single person who plays it..) so you would expect that they would have a professional approach to something they know is going to happen every year (transfer updates)

i mean the fowler one is so amateur it made me think of a previous PES (PES 5 i think) when for no reason at all (there wasnt even any transfer speculation about it) hatem trabelsi was in the arsenal team lolol.

as for the bugs i guess that even doubling the amount of beta testing wont solve all bugs, but every year within literally hours of the game coming out, someone has found a flaw or bug in the system that allows them to win easily, it could be easy goals at set pieces, rock hard defences that never get breached, easy ways to secure cheap transfer deals etc etc and its up on FM-BASE for all to read.

ive said at length in another thread called fM 2010 changes) some of my views on patching and beta testing etc. and basically i said: we have now got a 3D match engine and press conferences, blah blah blah. apart from making the match engine perfect, and fiddling with press conferences a bit, SI have very little to do this year, so i will expect to see FM 2010 pretty much perfect out of the box (or steam) needing only one patch in feb to update the transfers.

I noticed a couple of ridiculous transfers.

For some reason they have decided to put Ricardo Rocha on loan at Hull.

(Unless that happened pretty much instantly in the game, I forgot to check that! )

Embarssingly it went through after the game had started.

However, I did notice Hulls young striker Yann Ekra now starts the game on loan at a Greek side, which is suprising as he lodges with my friends family and she's not said anything about him going to Greece!
