Patches Problem

Currently I am playin a game which is patch 11.0. But due to restrictions, I can't use FMSX. So now I'm thinkin upgradin to patch 11.1 ..... but will this ruin my original game and wipe all my datas or things like this? Thanks a lot and Cheers.
