i have been a regular FM player for a good few years now but i never download new patches, i just stay with what came on the disc?
is it worth getting new patches? if so why?

Bug fixes, match engine improvements, sometimes new features are added, and of course, you get the latest transfer updates. You can still choose to run the original database but have all the bug fixes from the new patch if you wish though.

o sounds worthwhile actually, thanks
weres the best place to download it from? I am guessing the new patch can only be used at the start of a new career?

o good stuff, i will give it a go
thanks man
sorry, another question, will i need to import the new patch into my current save, or something like tht?

And why's that so?
I Find this database to be the most realistic currently.

Your post made my day, I'm having cramps just laughing at your statement. It's not realistic, it's biased as **** and every change hasn't been given much consideration.

I've just downloaded the 11.3 torrent, how do I go about installing it? Cheers :)

Phew, I was dreading having to go through all the folders. Cheers dude...

The patches are made available as a torrent download by SI Raikan.

I used the torrent from this site. Just downloaded it, double clicked to install. Gone to start a game and its not picked it up :s I am a n00b to FM and all so am I missing something blatantly obvious?

Once the update has been installed, upon starting a new game there should be the option of choosing which database version you want to start with from a dropdown menu. eg 11.0 for original, 11.3 for the most up to date.

That's where I checked, its only giving me default and the last patch I got which was 11.1.0. I'm downloading it again.
