Milan hire Di Canio

Paulo Di Canio is back in the management seat straight away after being unemployed for only 3 days in a surprising turn of events Paulo Di Canio has agreed to become the next manager of Italian giants A.C Milan, After a horrendous half season as West Ham manager seeing the club get relegated and then Di Canio being sacked by the clubs board Di Canio finds himself in a job quickly again as he moves back home to Italy to take over as Milan boss.

Many people will find the decision a shock after the poor form of West Ham whilst he was in charge however Di Canio remains optimistic and firmly believes being back home will make a huge difference and he can make Milan the giants they once were again.

Milan finished 4th in Seria A this season and only managing to qualify for Uefa Europa League which will be a new experience for Di Canio as he embarks on his latest journey and with a lot to prove and learn Di Canio will need to get off to a better start at Milan.

I also never expected it, I think because I'm Italian it helped to be honest lol, Scunthorpe offered me a job and I turned it down and just applied for Milan and then a day later they offered me the job. I never expected it in a million years but my chance to redeem myself here so lets see.

Questionable Pre-season

forza_milan_zps30e79166.jpg

Milan fans turn out in numbers to see their club welcome new manager Di Canio, The Italian was stunned with the numbers inside the stadium to welcome the new manager and putting instant pressure on him to perform as the fans are determined to show the new man how much the club means to them and how passionate they are although Di Canio was under no illusions when he joined fully aware of what is expected of him.

Urby Emmanuelson & Sulley Muntari are the latest to leave Milan under the new regime as the manager brings alot of changes and attempts to bring in more money for the clubs transfer budget, Urby Emmanuelson joined AS Monaco for a fee of around £9.75 million whilst Muntari stays in Italy moving to Chievo for £2.1 million after he was told he was surplus to requirements at Milan.

Nevan Subotic Joins Milan

subotic_zpsf165d82a.jpg

Nevan Subotic is the latest signing at Italian Giants A.C Milan after an agreed fee of £7million from Arsenal, Juventus, Roma & Napoli were all rumoured to have offered the same amount for the player however he chose Milan over them all and will join some of the stars already at the club to help Di Canio fight for the title, Phillipe Mexes could be in danger of his position as the veteran defender earns over 100k per week wage and might be sold to reduce the wage budget.

Pre-Season

Failing to win a game in pre-season the team will hope their league form will be much better and get off to a flying start as they need to battle their way back into champions league football and hopefully more trophys.

Looks like Di Canio has brought his bad luck from West Ham with him after an expected easy win see's the Italian giants only manage a disappointing draw.

Abel Hernandez seals move to A.c Milan

Paulo Di Canio seals another player for the club as striker Abel Hernandez joins from Palermo for a fee of £6.75million. Rumours have it that Hernandez has been brought in to replace unhappy Giampaolo Pazzini who seems to be on his way out the door after a disagreement with the management due to problems regarding another Milan player.

Europa league playoff 2nd leg

Much more comfortable performance by Milan as they secured an easy 2-0 win, They should have scored more goals however i'm sure Di Canio will just be glad to win and get through to the group stages of the europa league.

Europa Group Draw

Europagroup_zps80a3c1a8.jpg

A potentially tricky group drawn against Leverkusen & Montpellier will prove to be tough tests and Di Canio will need to prove himself to qualify in the competition

Other news: El Shaaraway injured for 6-8 weeks.

Seria A - Matchday 1

2-0atalanta_zps5b810ad5.jpg

Dreadful defeat as Milan players completely lost their discipline, Mexes was shown a red card and fined 1 weeks wages, The club conceded a free kick and instantly a penalty throwing away the game and it remains seen whether Di Canio is a good enough manager to control the club.

dicaniounhappy_zps5074bdec.jpg

Di Canio hasn't had the best of starts to his job in Italy and it seems his run of bad luck and form has followed him from West Ham, Questions are being asked if the manager is cut out for the top level of football management.

Poll: Is Di Canio good enough to manage A.C Milan ?

Yes - 12% No - 88%

Di Canio draw specialist.

14th September 2013
Seria A

1-1udinese_zps1f43a1bc.jpg

None of the Milan players seem to respect Di Canio's authority and it certainly seems to be affecting their game as the fail to win again only managing a 1-1 draw with Udinese, Di Canio will need to grab the respect of the players quickly before he finds himself out of a job again.

Not much to report as the team struggled to score in a stalemate game which they should of won at the San Siro and is 2 points lost rather than 1 gained.

21st September 2013
Seria A

2-1chievo_zps4ae20a89.jpg

A massive win for Di Canio as the club grab their first league win of the season with Abel Hernandez grabbing his first goal for the club with a late goal from substitue Prince-Boateng sealing the 3 points for the struggling Italians as they still find it hard to motivate themselves under Di Canio.

Another stalemate game however the players are showing a bit more drive in games and showing their manager a bit of respect finally.

Unlucky with the draw against Roma after Okore scored a great header on the 64th minute, Milan just couldn't hold onto their lead taking another point.

A terrible performance again from Milan as Di Canio becomes under pressure by the fans and board to start getting performances fast.

Dead bottom Palermo increase pressure on Di Canio as he watches his side lose 2-0, Di Canio was seen sitting in the dugout throughout half time and leaving 5 minutes before the whistle showing how much unrest is at the club.

Paulo Di Canio retires from football

dicaniounhappy_zps5074bdec.jpg

Paulo Di Canio has today resigned from football after being sacked from A.c.Milan and his 2nd club in the space of a year, Di Canio failed at West Ham seeing the club relegated to the championship and being sacked before being a surprise appointment at Milan, Di Canio's managerial disappointment followed him to Italy as he took the Italian giants to 17th in the league as it seemed none of the players had any respect for him and played poorly under the manager.

Di Canio admitted he felt drained and embarrased by what has happened in the past year that he is giving up football for the mean to and concetrate on his family life, Di Canio started off well in management and guided Swindon Town to promotion however it seemed that the next steps he took were too big too fast and his reputation has been left tarnished.

Milan won only 3 of their 15 competitive games whilst Di Canio was in charge and a number of players came out saying there was no harmony at the club and everytime they turned up to train they felt unhappy. Paolo changed too much as soon as he came in and instantly lost the respect of the players as new coaches and players came in whilst others were quickly put on the transfer list.

The End.

Things didn't turn out as planned after my embarrasing failure, Got another game i'm starting but I doubt I'll turn that into a story. Might try another challenge/story later on

Thanks to anyone who read/followed.

I did enjoy my save and I am gutted it never worked out, Have started a Sunderland save from the 24th of december - dead last in the league, Unsure if I'll turn it into a story as I don't want it to end so quickly, After I try a few things and attempt some new tactics I will start a fresh game either Lower league or possibly a QPR/Wigan game, I'll have a good think about it.

Been off work this week aswell which meant I had a lot of time however back on tuesday so won't have as much time to write and play either.

Ok mate, well be good to have u back with another story when u are ready. I reckon you'd do we'll with a lower league team. Maybe another ex-pro or just do yourself and work up from the bottom and break into the manger elite. I'll follow whatever u decide. (H)
