Finally some gameplay videos out so thought I'd finally make the thread, I won't bother posting the press release which promises so much and will undoubtedly let us down again.

When PES 2011 worked it was majestic, sadly there were a lot of annoying problems with it but I've heard all are gone from the latest builds of 2012 and early reports are good. So anyway...

Only ever really get pes to play become a legend and usually get it a few months after release date. It isnt really a game I want to get as soon as possible and that I look forward to like Fifa, fm, cod etc
 
I am a Fifa man ever since buying my Ps3, I have had all Fifa's and PES' on my Pc though for the past many years, even when it was called World Soccer Winning 11 International or some ****...

as Lee said, when PES works out, it looks great, the move, goal etc is lovely, however Fifa 11 is the most realistic soccer game I have played..

the one thing about the PES series especailly the latest ones is the **** Gk physics/saves.... it really puts me off as I am a keeper, a very good one in fact and it just ****** me off that Konami cannot get it right....
i.e: the saving attempt on the 1st video (the only goal/header at target) watch the keepers physics, its pathetic...

Fifa 12 for me once again come Sept/Oct for my Ps3
 
Agree with above comments when PES works is brillaint but the basic errors and horrendous mistakes made by goalkeepers is infuriating.

Hope it reels FIFA back (although I will not be holding my breath) in as I can't stand playing FIFA with my mates I dislike the game hate one on and ones the whole tricks that you can do please KONAMI do something please!!!
 
That "off the ball controls" system sounds like a very good idea.. I wonder how long it will be for FIFA to include that in to there game.
 
That off the ball control just seems like any pe a pro game :P

It is in throw ins, possibly in free kicks too if I recall correctly.
 
PES is **** again. Stopped playing since PES10. Defense is dreadful, GKs are ****, and you can do, pretty much what ever you want with Ronaldo and Messi. Off the ball movement in PES12 looks good, but I have strong feeling it's not going to be good. Bring back PES08.
 
All they need to do to trump FIFA is do a next gen remake of Pes 4, Pes 5, or Pes 6. Win.

Apparently it's really overpowered because you just press one button and it goes straight to that person. No sill involved in it etc. :(

PES 08, seriously? Along with 09 those are the two worst PES' in history.
 
Meh, if PES doesn't get licensed, I really don't think they'll get it, altough FIFA sometimes annoys me, PES isn't as good as, so I am even considering not buying football games and sticking with FM XD

BUT!.... PES 6 was like the best football game ever.

Lots of PES is licensed now, through agreements with individual clubs and tournaments like EUROPA league, rather than a blanket license like FIFA. Plus, FIFA's license isn't all that great, the generic ****** stadiums really **** me off.

Although I used to do that, having them anywhere on the pitch still meant screamers galore...
 
Even just the simplicity of the PES game makes it far more authentic than FIFA.

Loved it in the older PES titles where they had Man Red, Merseyside Red (etc.). Although they still do it now, it felt much better in the older versions and were far more tolerable because the gameplay was so good and the overall performance of it exceeded FIFA.
 
All people who moan about licensing obviously have never heard of option files.

Pes9 started this, you only need dribble speed over 75 and you are god. Aguero was unstoppable.
