PES Forever!

I am a Fifa man ever since buying my Ps3, I have had all Fifa's and PES' on my Pc though for the past many years, even when it was called World Soccer Winning 11 International or some ****...

as Lee said, when PES works out, it looks great, the move, goal etc is lovely, however Fifa 11 is the most realistic soccer game I have played..

the one thing about the PES series especailly the latest ones is the **** Gk physics/saves.... it really puts me off as I am a keeper, a very good one in fact and it just ****** me off that Konami cannot get it right....
i.e: the saving attempt on the 1st video (the only goal/header at target) watch the keepers physics, its pathetic...

Fifa 12 for me once again come Sept/Oct for my Ps3

Well, i can agree with you that FIFA is a realistic soccer game, but for me, it just... how should i say it... fails. I play FIFA and PES on PSP and i can assure you that FIFA is not that realistic in PSP... (I don't have the money to buy consoles, just stick to smaller scales..)

Don't mean to hate, okay? :)
But yeah on the consoles, FIFA is great, along the runner-up PES

FIFA's lower league stats are very flawed, just because a player in league 1 or 2 does make automatically slow, it should only really effect his technique, passing, control etc

Game-play trumps licenses every day

There are plenty of fast lower league players? And a lot of reserves have high pace and acceleration.

Pes game play is slow, clunky and the goalkeepers suck massive ****. Just because PES was the best about 8 years ago, doesn't mean it is now, stop living in the past.

Game play trumps licenses, and that can be got round by data files

You already said that, and I said the game play wasn't better on Pes compared to Fifa, feel free to prove me wrong.

it will always be personal preference, i enjoy pes as i enjoy master league and bal, and you have your reasons for enjoying fifa.

One thing is don't like EA and there added charges for updates

i do play fifa around at friends, not played the new one though, not going to lecture them on PES vs Fifa

personal preferance

Fair enough. I think the only thing they charge for is the league form updates? And you get a free one with the game, I think. Also they have started doing Ultimate team for free, when it used to cost.

i dont necessarily hate fifa, but since my pc is ****, and it will be like this for a few years, im all in for pes. imo, i also thnk fifa is to easy to play, and pes gives more of a challenge.
and thus im liking this version, pes2012. at least better than pes2011.

as for the gameplay, PES > fifa, BY FAR.
PES is the most realistic of the two, i dont think anyone would disagree with that.. second to none at touching the reality, the game in real life.

FIFAs always been, is, and probably will always be a **** of a lot easier to play, predictable, the same situations/goals/fouls/player animations keep happening over and over again, annually, on every released game. its like the players are made out of wood, so unreal, and at times just pathetic looking. I wont even start with the bugs that FIFA contains, a **** of a lot more than PES.

(this one is really annoying)

..and more. and more.

So the bottom line, PES is the best of the two, and an argument on this matter is pointless, really.

Last years PES was pretty terrible. I have only played the demo of PES 2012 so far and it is much better than last years attempt.

The pace of open play is very fast and so is the passing which is pretty great if you ask me.

It's such a shame that all this pace is wasted once the ball goes dead (Goalies ball, throwins, freekicks etc...) as even the 'quick' options seem to take an age to do and making a simple quick throw with the goalkeeper makes you realise just how little control you have over situations like that.

So the bottom line, PES is the best of the two, and an argument on this matter is pointless, really.

Wow some awesome videos you showed there. Really proves PES is better than FIFA. You are definitely right.

THIS THREAD IS NOT A PES V FIFA ARGUMENT. IT IS ABOUT PES AND PES ONLY.

ANY MORE LAME ARGUMENTS ABOUT WHICH IS BETTER WILL RESULT IN INFRACTIONS.

hahah calm down boy.

I disagree with that.

well, if you are under 20, i completely understand you.

but hey, what about if you are over 20s? ;[

peace.

So people under 20 cant tell if a game has better game play? I think you need to grow up if you are over 20 years old and still dont realise that different people have different opinions.

What does age have to do with anything? I'm 22, and cant see what makes PES so 'realistic'? Goalkeepers are slow and *****, Throw ins are slow, the game lags in offline mode, etc.

I was really tempted to buy PES this year, after hearing such good things, but after playing the game at a friends house, and playing the demo, I just can't see it being enjoyable, but rather frustrating.
