Chelsea and Czech Republic international goalkeeper Petr Cech has told sky sports that Chelsea will win the Champions League this season.

So do you agree with him? I personally don't, I think the current Chelsea team has had it's chance and that was against Manchester United a few seasons back. I could be proved wrong though, I hope not but we shall see, do you guys think Chelsea are good enough?

on a serious note I do believe chelsea have a squad good enough to win the champions league but the problem is will they play good enough to win the champions league ?? It will be tough this season but im hopeful chelsea can win it :)

and i just knew you would say you dont think chelsea can win it mr stubbs :@:P
 
Well thats a bold statement to make considering they havent even played a match yet :P
 
well they got the quality and for the likes of lamps and drogba they ain't gonna have too many more bites at the cherry

i must admit, the statement is slightly different from the header, all i have read is that he and the rest of the squad believe its their season, i cant see where it says they will lol
 
if you are a team like chelsea united etc you must always believe you can win it.
 
i think we are more prepared this season and we look very strong at the moment. In the last couple of years we have been unlucky through refereeing decisions i believe so hopefully we get abit of luck this season. I think this team is at its peak now and we defeinatly have a better chance this season now that Carlo has well and truly put his stamp on the team.
 
Doubtful, but not impossible.

They haven't even played their first CL game this season yet and that might put on quite a bit of pressure.
 
Don't see them winning it, but they are more than capable of winning it.

Would love to see United in the final as it is at Wembley this year, but got a feeling it could be the 2 Spanish teams (Barcelona vs Madrid) as they have the strongest squads.
 
yer i almost forget this, the final is at Wembley and Wembleys our second home.
 
I don't see Chelsea winning it but the Champions League can be pretty unpredictable at times. Especially if great sides like Barcelona are knocked out early on so Chelsea don't have to play them.

i don't fear Bacelona at all, we have played them quite a few times and overcome them. I would rather play Barcelona than a side managed by Jose Mourinho.
 
The Champs League does not really decide who is best in Europe and inevitable some teams have a easier route to the finals than others, now if u played a league with those teams and a team wins that league then u can really say that the team is the best in Europe

Not fearing them doesn't mean they won't beat you.

Obviously it's possible that the result goes the other way of course, we'll just have to wait and see.
