can someone please explain what philosophy means please? whats rigid and whats fluid?

It does say when you click on them underneath but the basic Idea is.

Fluid : Teams moves around the pitch more and more roaming from the postion and freedom to make their own choices.

Rigid: Stick to postion do what manger tells you.

More rigid means the team will try and keep team shape, more fluid means everyone will be more involved on everything, strikers will defend, defenders will attack, etc.

Examples of managers who use each philosophy

Rigid- Roberto Mancini, Martin O Neill, Sir Alex Ferguson

Fluid- Arsene Wenger, Ian Holloway

I wouldn't agree with this. What you're describing is Creative Freedom.

Fluid: Players mentalities are closer together, for example, if you're playing an attacking strategy then and you use very fluid then even your centreback will have an attacking mentality. You attack as a team and defend as a team.

Rigid: Players mentalities are further apart, for example if you're playing an attacking strategy then your attackers will have high attacking mentalities but your defensive players will still have a defensive mentality. Your attackers attack and your defenders defend.

Hope that makes sense.
