After 2 succesful seasons in charge of German brutes Schalke 04, popular manager Alex Adamson made the surprise decision not to re-new his contract and resign as manager of Schalke.

Being interviewed by tencacious BBC spokesman Hans Zoffmaigudz, the ex-Schalke boss replied

" I have acheived what i want to by putting my team up there with classic names of German football alongside the Munich teams and Munchengladbach. I now want to rise to the challenge of international football and as of today will be the new head coach of Cote D'Ivoire. I would like to establish that this has nothing to do with the weather conditions"

It was a glum day for German football as Adamson bordered the Lufthansa flight from Dortmund ...........

Ex-Schalke04 boss Alex Adamson lands in Yamoussoukro to an eager press crowd.

At the conference the manager gave the following statement:

" I am delighted to of become the new manager of Cote D'Ivoire. After careful deliberation on the flight over, i now have a good idea of the 23 men i am going to travel down to South Africa with. I want to assure the nation that we shall shock the world in this up and coming event, and promise my players that they will attract interest across Europe "

... Before being escorted to his private limo.

Match 1:

Cote D'ivoire 5 - Japan 0 :

A Spell of attacking football saw the lads dominating the game despite having less midfielders to the 5 of Japan.

Match 2:

Sweden 0 - Cote D'Ivoire 1:

A close encounter saw a smash and grab win for the lads

Match 3:

Brazil 0 - Cote D'Ivoire 6

An excellent victory saw the great Brazilian team fall to pieces. Confidence was high in the camp with superb performances from Drogba and Kone'

Match 4:

Cote D'Ivoire 4 - England 5

4-0 up after 20 minutes ... What more could you ask for? I coulda asked for Ashley Young not to score 4 against me including wonder goals and a fluke from the corner in extra time

Despite being knocked out, The team definetley showed that they're a force to be reckoned with.

Hoping to get a trophy or 2 over here then head over to the Serie A or LA Liga depending on job security.

Will keep this thread updated for those interested;

this is thread is interesting and good luck on dominating the world

Cheers.

Entering the last few games of the MLS and i have qualified from the Western Conference so may rest a few players.

In the group stages of the Northern American Champions League against the Following teams:

Pumas, Toronto FC, Aguilla? (sp).

Drew 1-1 away at Pumas who are the main contenders for the group, and beat Toronto FC 2-1 i think at home

Been monitoring Schalke since i left them ... currently 11th in Bundesliga after 7 games with the Roma Boss in charge. He kept the tactics that got AS Roma the Serie A tital with emphasis on 2 strikers 2 AMs and 3 CMs ... the only problem is that i designed that team to focus emphasis on the wingers, a quick striker and a powerful striker. Milevski and Sanchez my Beckham and Van Nistelrooy so to speak don't even play. They just signed Balotelli and don't play him either.

It's a shame really cus i had Altidore coming in July for them to fit in nicely as a powerful, fast striker which dominates the german style, but they brought in Keirrison instead.

Looking at Serie A and i may have to declare interest in the Fiorentina or Lazio job if the opportunity comes around since i like the idea of them ... Although i'll probably end up at the likes of Sampdoria.

I could get the A.C Milan job .. but where's the fun in that? Plus they spent their money on players that i don't like in the Summer. 33.5 Mil for a regen who is average at best.

After a long and grueling season La Galaxy Boss Adamson resigns after guiding is team to Win the MLS Western Conference and Qualifying from the groups of the Northern American cup.

Under his reign, players have flourished and Eddison Buddle and out of favour Amr Zaki made themselves back on to the international scene.

At the Press conferences it was asked :

"Do you realise you have resigned before what is questionably the biggest day in LA history ... the MLS Final"

"Final?" Adamson replied ... "****" as it becomes apparent he resigned a week too early.

After trying to get his job back to add the game to his honours, the boards were having none of it ... bad times for Adamson

Now Jobless ... Adamson declares interest in the jobs at Udinese, and Bari .... Dark days as it seems the once world class manager is destined for mediocrity ......

---------- Post added at 01:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:09 PM ----------

Suddenly the phone rings;

"Hello ... "

After a grumbled conversation Adamson turns to his wife

" ... We're moving to Sevilla!! "

The once spanish giants appear to be struggling 1 point away from the relgation zone and have offered Adamson the job.

In utter delight he takes it ... And the ambition inside him begins to grow....

---------- Post added at 01:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:11 PM ----------

Being handed the team sheet Adamson can't believe how a squad of such quality and depth finds themselves 17th in La Liga coming up towards the December period....

Talking to his assistant, they discuss who needs to be kept and who needs to be axed;

" Palop .. Check ... Fazio and Squillaci .. Check ... Maresca, check ... Navas, Simoa and Capel? Check ... i'll make a tactic from these 3!! Marquinhos .. Check ...and Fabiano ... We'll see"

Adamson notices that Kanoute whilst being in the squad is awaiting a move to Italy ... Taking matters into his own hands, the boss replaces his him as captain and makes Fazio the new skipper

Those to not make the cut for Adamson include Renato, De Crul, Dudu, Romaric,

It's been rumoured that the boss is looking at strengthening his Midfield with the likes of Defour and Witsel and has tabled a 7 million offer for Asenjo .... Although the Strikeforce lacks depth, Adamson hears a rumour of a target man youngster rapidly progressing through the ranks in the U19 squad ... and decides to take a look ...

With Real Betis only a few days from now ... Pundits remain skeptical of Adamsons ability , with many thinking if he's lost it .... He has everything to prove

Just read most of the story and it made for a good read, keep it up mate, i'm looking forward to see how you do as Sevilla :D

I for one find it hard to carry on to other clubs after a team I've worked on for a couple of seasons but hats off to you!
