My scout tells me the majority of the time against big teams that :"They play defensive and often look to draw the opposition onto them before attempting a counter attack"

Always tend to end up losing whatever tactic I try.....Anyone got any tips??

Sit deep, and keep your shape. You will need a anchor man to soak up the pressure. Play quick direct, zonal marking and untick all tight marking to encourage your team to keep shape at all the times. Stand off them, and invite them onto you, they will push up and you will hurt them with the target man and advanced wingers.

Just maintain possession of the ball and don't put too many men forward, otherwise they will sit deep and soak up the pressure. When that happens, they'll use the flanks to their advantage and then hit you on the counter-attack. Your tream needs to dominate and probably attack down the flanks and hassle their full backs.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, already seen a big improvement straight away in the next game
