Player Absence/Leave?

I signed a Brazilian wonderkid but he was having difficulty settling so I said he could go on leave hoping that he would come back a better player for it, just wondering anyone else done this? Do they come back better players for it and how long are they away for?

Yeah, I've had to do it several times in FM 2011 and 2012. This normally happens when their Adaptability is low.
Normally, they should be fine after the first leave.

Maybe a month? I don't really know, lol.

Next time just sign a Brazilian stuff member (coach, physio...).
If you already have one, when your new signing arrives you can usually read under player status... "he is finding the presence of fellow countryman ..... helpfull"
