Player duties

Hey guys..

I am seeking help in selecting the proper balance between attack and defense, so how many should be on attack duty? And how many should be on Defense, support etc?

Is there a rule like "never have more players on attack duty than defense duty"?

Also does the style and strategi influence on your choices when selecting duties for your team?

it all depends on formation, but i like:

4 defense (Gk, both CBs and 1 mid)
4 support (2 of these are the FBs/WBs)
3 attack

1 Attack duty in defence, one Attack and one Defend in midfield, and one Support in attack, especially if you play with single striker.
