Player PA. Definite or not?

Alright, i have been wondering: If a player (or regen) has a PA of 180 (example), does it mean he will definitely reach that PA?

I was looking at GS the last week I was playing FM11, and (for those that do not know), there is a box to check where you are able to see if the player will reach that PA.

So, it says he will reach 180 PA. But will he also reach his max potential if I NEVER play him what so ever?

No (from my experience anyway). I had a regen that had potential to be a leading premiership striker. He was training, tutored. but I never played him. Then had potential to be a useful player.

It depends really not only by a good training schedule and tutoring, but also on his professionalism, adaptability, work rate and determination... though professionalism is the most improtant, while the least important is determination... I remember a thread someone made about how much do the lesser/more determined players develop in contrast to lesser/more professional players and well those who were determined had the equal number in professionalism and they developed more/less the same, though there was a big difference with those who had the same determination but less/more professionalism and it was a big big biiiiig difference...

And NO there is no likelyhood that any player will reach to the 180 PA or other, they're more likely to reach say 177 and stop than 180!
